Clostridium perfringens-induced necrotic enteritis and related subclinical diseases are some of the most common microbial diseases causing mortality and affecting performance as well as economical loss to poultry farming. Necrotic enteritis, an enterotoxemic disease caused by Clostridium perfringens, leads to the development of necrotic lesions in the gut wall, resulting in mortality of poultry. This disease is also multifactorial with complex and partially unknown epidemiology and pathogenesis.
